Oh, what’s up friends??? This month, August, is the month for
our language Filipino. How will you celebrate this month? According to my
researches, this month’s celebration is the 75th year of celebrating
since Filipino was proclaimed as the national language of the Philippines on
the year 1937. Aren’t you proud of our own language? Chin up, head up, and be
proud.
Nationwide theme of this month’s
celebration is “Tatag ng Wikang Filipino. Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino”. All Filipinos should know how to speak our national
language. We, Filipinos should be proud of it. We can’t be called Filipinos if
we can’t speak in our own national language. If we are fluent in speaking
English language, then, we should be more fluent in speaking Filipino. If we have strong foundation for our language
then, it can also result to the empowerment of our citizenship as Filipinos. We
Filipinos are brave; we should also be brave to stand for our national
language.
In our school, we are also
participating in this celebration. Filipino department is conducting many
activities. All students of our school, Ilocos Sur National High School can be
participants if they are interested with the activity.
