Equality...

Equality…. Does it exist in the modern world? Can pure equality be achieved even in this modern time? Many questions were being uttered, asked and rumoured by people around me. Who can answer these questions of mine?

At first, I thought life was as easy as it is. But then, as time goes by it become harder and harder. We were all born equally. Nobody must be manipulating and dictating what we want o do. We all have our own brains to think for our own developments, improvements and safety. We can have anything we want, we just need to pursue and have the determination to get it.

Nowadays, it’s like, quality is being ignored. Being ignored by those who are in higher positions. Maybe they are thinking that they can manipulate and dictate anyone because they have the power. But in God’s eyes WE are all equal, WE are ALL the SAME. Everyone must be treated equally, boy, girl, gay, lesbian, beautiful, ugly, tall, small, thin, stout, white, black, rich, poor, and etc. God has given us equal love, care, blessings, and even opportunities. It depends upon the person how he/she will make it better or maybe the best. Nobody can teach us what to do with our lives, we can only listen to suggestion and advices but no one can teach us.

ALWAYS remember that we are all equal. We have equal rights, we must be treated  equally. Friends! Know your rights. We also have equal opportunities to grab! Just give your best and live life to the fullest. Never listen to those rumours about who you are because they don’t  know the real you, only you knew who really you are. Men are not above women, and vice versa. All of us are humans.

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERYONE!!!

WARNING: CLIMATE CHANGE, DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH. TRY TO MAKE A BETTER CHANGE

What’s happening today? It is very true that nothing’s permanent, only the word permanent. Everything is changing; feelings, things and even people. Also, the phenomena we are suffering now, CLIMATE CHANGE.
Coping up with all the changes in our life is not easy. Specially our body or our health. Climate change really affects our health. Some people are even getting sick because of this. As a reaction to this change, we must be ready for every happening. To prevent the bad effects of this climate change, we must not do anything that can harm any of the aspects affecting climate.
Climate change is also occurring because of natural happenings and of course some man-made happenings. Climate change is somewhat dangerous and harmful to everyone.

Passing Another Journey

Second Grading Period is soon to end. Lot of learning for this grading I think. First, I learned about HTML files, and all about it. Creating HTML files is great and applying different tags to it. Making these files also helps us in improving our creativity. Another is that I should always follow the format of the different HTML tags. I also improved my skills in writing. Posting our blogs is a big help in improving so.
Learning and passing through this Grading period is not that easy. Of course, problems and challenges are always there to test and to challenge me. But also helping me to be stronger and more self-esteemed to face all of these. For this grading, I can say that time is one problem. There are so many excuses for Extra Cullicular activities that we are joining. We can’t have enough time to finish all our lessons, blogs and activities. Another is the access of internet. Accessing or surfing the internet is not fast. It takes so long before loading is complete. That’s why posting our blogs is not that easy. That’s the problems I have encountered this grading period. For the problems or challenges, I address to them by having good time management. I can have enough time for everything if I budget it, and if I manage it wisely. For the access in the internet, I am posting my blogs at home for faster access.
Moving on, I will be more alert in our class discussions. I will compose better blogs, do better and more attractive HTML files. Betterment for the next grading period.

Upholding English Proficiency for Communicative Competence

October? In school, this month is the celebration of English month. The theme of this month’s celebration is “Upholding English Proficiency for Communicative Competence”.
As a student, we must be English proficient. As the universal language, everyone must learn to speak with this language. For instance, in the future, some time, somehow, you will go to the other countries. You must first learn how to speak in English so that you can be in with the people there. If you will go to other countries without knowing or learning English language, you will be dumped, they will bully you in some time, and you may also be in danger. But if you know English, you must also understand it for better results. Being proficient in English is a good help for us in dealing in our everyday lives. It can be a strong weapon for us to survive in any challenges in our lives.
Students, as early as now, must implement being proficient in English. Uphold English Proficiency for Communicative Competence. Teachers and student must act as one for the best implementation of the activities this month. Be English Proficient and be the best. Be competitive through English Proficiency. SPEAK OUT!

Scientricity: Energizing Science Clubbers For Sustainable Energy

As a living organism, we need energy to survive. The theme of the Science Month Celebration , "Scientricity: Energizing Science Clubbers For Sustainable Energy". We need energy today, tomorrow, and also for the next generation. We need to motivate everyone to conserve energy for its sustainability. Scienttricity is a combined word from the words Science and Electricity. Science can be a big help for us to know how to conserve energy. Through this celebration, everyone can help in the conservation of energy. Everyone can do simple things to save and conserve energy.

As students, we can do simple things. Maybe even         our simple doings can be a great contribution to our   community. For me, as a science Clubber, a responsible   and concerned citizen of our country, I can help in the conservation of energy. We can do lot of things to be a  part of this celebration. By simply turning off electric appliances when not in use is a big help in the conservation of energy. Yes, we need energy but remember, there will still be next generations that will be using energy. We must not over use energy.
Science Clubbers can be everyone, everyone can be Science Clubbers. Each one of us must be energized and be motivated to be part o this celebration.

BE A RESPONSIBLE SCIENCE CLUBBER!!!

TEACHERS: THANKS GOD I FOUND YOU

“I was lost without you. My every wish and every dream, somehow became reality. When you brought the sunlight, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Cause MA’AM/SIR I’m so thankful I found you.” Yes, thanks God I found you, our dearest teachers. Life for me was so hard and challenging. Life is not as easy as to eat, to drink and even to breathe. As I was sent to school, I felt that my life was developing and passing through its completion. As years goes by, lots of knowledge were shared and given to me. Not only knowledge about subject matters but also life lessons. You were the people who can understand and help me in times of challenges.

Teachers are so great. They are one of a kind human living on Earth. Being a teacher is not an easy profession. Maybe you want to ask me how I can say so, Yes, I am not a teacher, but I can say it because my two naked eyes can see all their sacrifices and sufferings. Sharing all their knowledge and giving all the needs of their students in the school is the hardest works in the world.

Teachers are not only teachers. They are our second parents. They are all loving and caring parents. Teachers are also our brothers and sisters. They are all good advisers. They are our friends and can even be our best friends.

For almost ten years of studying, I have met many kinds of teachers. Some are friendly, so understanding, some are even strict, but for a good reason, and some are not so kind. But then again, almost all of my past and present teachers are loving parent like and caring.

Without them, I am lost in my way. My dreams wouldn’t be continued to be achieved. Without them, I am not here composing this essay. Without them, I never met any one of my friends today. They let me know the true meaning of friendship. Without them, lawyers, doctors, policemen, and other professions wouldn’t be existing at this moment.

Thanks to them. Thanks to our beloved and knowledgeable teachers. Salute our teachers today, tomorrow and forever.

Feeling Safe and Complete With Them

Life is a gift from God. We must treasure every life in this world.  We must protect, improve, and develop our lives. It’s a God-given gift, our lives are precious. As usually heard from others, Life is short, we must do everything we can do during the day. Life is also unfair sometimes. But the only big thing we must always remember about life is that, it’s only one, life is special, life is important. For every circumstance in our lives, we can pass through these things. We are not alone. We all have our families, friends, relatives and even unknown people in our lives that can help us solve our problems. They can be our heroes, or shall I call them, our Modern Heroes.
What really a hero is? For me, a hero is not only those who are saving our lives. Maybe because of simple things they have done, you can call them our heroes. A hero is always there for you, always ready to accompany you, and of course to protect you.
I can consider my family as my modern heroes. I love them even though sometimes, I can’t feel that they love me too. My father, working for us. My mother, giving us what we need and my siblings who are always there for me to make me smile. I also consider my two cousins as my modern day hero because they are beside me whenever I need someone. My cousin Clifford, he always treats me like his sister. He will not let me starving, he always gives me foods. My cousin Candy, she is always willing to help me with my school works. She also gave me ride when I need so and she’s not busy. Another person I consider my hero is Lyka, the best among my best friends. She is always there for me, in times of happiness and also in times of sorrow.  The last person I consider my hero is a kind-hearted tricycle driver. I really don’t know his name. He’s my hero because when we don’t have a ride one day, he offered his tricycle even though our place is far. It was really late, maybe around 7:30 to 8:00. I can’t remember what we did that day. But going back to “kuya” driver, he has a heart of a father. He won’t let us be in danger. At first we asked some of the tricycle drivers but they didn’t want to take us home because according to them, it’s far and too late. But “kuya” driver agreed to take us in our home. He is my savior that day, without him; maybe I’m stacked in the school.
Oh! I’ve written so much. I have lot of modern heroes. I love them and I treasure them so much. God bless them all. Wishing for their wellness and safety. I hope they will always be like what I saw to them.
Everyone can be a hero. We all have the capacity to be a hero. We can do special things to every person we meet. Thanks to our Lord Almighty, my greatest and everyday hero, He gave me and let me know those people.

Tatag ng Wikang Filipino. Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino

Oh, what’s up friends??? This month, August, is the month for our language Filipino. How will you celebrate this month? According to my researches, this month’s celebration is the 75th year of celebrating since Filipino was proclaimed as the national language of the Philippines on the year 1937. Aren’t you proud of our own language? Chin up, head up, and be proud.

Nationwide theme of this month’s celebration is “Tatag ng Wikang Filipino. Lakas ng Pagka-Pilipino”.  All Filipinos should know how to speak our national language. We, Filipinos should be proud of it. We can’t be called Filipinos if we can’t speak in our own national language. If we are fluent in speaking English language, then, we should be more fluent in speaking Filipino.  If we have strong foundation for our language then, it can also result to the empowerment of our citizenship as Filipinos. We Filipinos are brave; we should also be brave to stand for our national language.

In our school, we are also participating in this celebration. Filipino department is conducting many activities. All students of our school, Ilocos Sur National High School can be participants if they are interested with the activity.

I AM PROUD TO BE A FILIPINO!!! J J J

From That Time On

One month, three weeks and two days ago was June 04, 2012.Start of classes, another year for us students to learn. I am now in fourth year, last year for me in high school. It’s hard to accept but life must go on, this is also for us. Another adventure is waiting for me in college. But, it’s not yet time to leave the most of all the most, the most promising and interesting part of schooling for every student.
Let me start my post by telling the things that I have learned and discovered for the first grading period, specifically in my ICT class. This subject for this year is about Internet. I learned the history of Internet we often used these days.  For the first grading period, I met the Internet architects, one was Vinton “Vint” Cerf, one of the father of the Internet, another was Robert Khan also known as Bob Khan and the last Internet Architect was Jonathan “Jon” Postel, co-creator of Mosaic and co-founder of Netscape. I also met Philippine Pioneer, they were William Torres, father of Philippine Internet, Rodolfo Villarica, founding president of PHNet, Inc. and lastly, Joel Disini, who managed the PH Domain. There were also Software Pioneers, they were Eric Bina, Marc Andreessen and Timothy “Tim” Berners-Lee. They were all great and awesome, without them; there will also be no Internet. For our last lessons, they were all about Blog. Every detail of our topic was surely understood because the way that our teacher, Ma’am Vera Cruz discussed to us was as clear as the sun. We also discussed the different Internet Services and Tools. Learning about Internet and knowing about the blog is a great discovery to express thoughts and insights.

During the process of learning, I haven’t encountered of serious problems yet. Only in reviewing dates and personalities involved. And also, in our class, we lack of time, there are lot of disturbances and interruptions. But through all these little problems, I had managed my time and used my vacant times to catch up with the lessons. Moving on, I will prepare for our coming Periodic Examination. For the next Grading Period, I will be more active and alert in class. I will manage my time properly. I will do this for my own benefit and I am hoping to learn more for the next grading periods. FILIPINOS MADE IT HAPPENED!!!

“Ito po ang aking ikatlong SONA, at parang kailan lang nang nagsimula tayong mangarap. Parang kailan lang nang sabay-sabay tayong nagpasyang tahakin ang tuwid na daan. Parang kailan lang nang sinimulan nating iwaksi ang wang-wang, hindi lamang sa kalsada kundi sa sistemang panlipunan. Dalawang taon na ang nakalipas mula nang sinabi ninyo, “Sawa na kami sa korupsyon; sawa na kami sa kahirapan.” Oras na upang ibalik ang isang pamahalaang tunay na kakampi ng taumbayan.”, President Aquino said in his third State Of the Nation Address. Every Filipino is waiting for this. Everyone wants to know what he did for our country for two years. As he said, we are now progressing compared to the last administration.
He told every detail of our progress. He’s SONA, according to news, was the longest one. I salute you Pnoy!  SONA is the most awaited event of Filipinos. Lot of issues and insights about that SONA were broadcasted on radios, televisions and newspapers. He stated that the government can forgive, but never to FORGET anyone’s wrong deed. Some critics like his SONA, they even say that President Aquino have high dreams, but they clarify that they are happy for it. He also said that criminal cases in our country went down. He also made mention of that “PANTAWID PAMILYANG PILIPINO PROGRAM”. And he also mentioned about the comments of the optimism of foreign media and hoping that their local counterparts would be shared by their local counterparts more often.
He wants us to know that our country is now progressing. We Filipinos, as his “BOSS” according to him, made it all possible. The progress in our country was made happened because of us Filipinos. “Whenever I come face to face with any farmer, teacher, pilot, engineer, driver, call center agent, or any normal Filipino; to every Juan and Juana dela Cruz who says, ”Thank you for this change,” I respond: You made this happen. I repeat: What was once impossible is now possible. I stand before you today and tell you: This is not my SONA. You made this happen. This is the SONA of the Filipino nation. Thank you.”, PNOY ended his SONA.

"PAGKAIN NG GULAY UGALIIN, ARAW-ARAW ITONG IHAIN"

Do you know what are we celebrating this month of JULY? Do you want to participate for this SPECIAL EVENT this month? Or maybe, are you willing to participate? Let me first try to elaborate or explain this special event.

This month is the NUTRITION MONTH. This year’s theme is “Pagkain ng Gulay  Ugaliin, Araw-araw Itong Ihain”. Maybe you are speculating why the theme is in FILIPINO, for me, if you ask me, maybe it is for us to easily understand the thought that they want us to get. Eating vegetables leads us to the betterment of our health. The theme wants us to understand that vegetables and other nutritious foods are important in our lives and we should not be ignoring them. I know some of children and also teenagers don’t want vegetables. The best example is AMPALAYA. Most individual don’t want this vegetable because it’s bitter, but this vegetable can cure and prevent many illnesses or diseases. The theme lets us know that we should be healthy every time and every day.

This year’s theme is so simple. For us also to understand easily and understand the importance of vegetables. Maybe the theme was made simpler so that everyone can understand it. The theme wants to explain to us that we should eat vegetables every time.

JULY? What are you expecting to happen this month? Are you expecting special things to happen? Like what? If you don’t want to share then, it’s all yours, but I’m just kidding J. If you want to share then, just post a comment on this blog of mine J.
